Kuari Pass Trek

Kuari Pass trek is one of my best and favourite travel experiences to date for many reasons. I won a contest run by Tripoto back in 2016 and got this trek sponsored by IndiaHikes, this was my first Himalayan Trek. The contest result came in two days before the trek started which made it a last-minute hassle but there were no two thoughts about me going for it. IndiaHikes sent me a list of mandatory stuff to be carried and I could manage to tick-off less than half of the items, took double the recommended weight and left for the basecamp. Your first high-altitude trek comes with a lot of learning. The best one for me was to differentiate between the needs and wants. I had no option but to offload my backpack which was double the recommended weight that I had conveniently ignored. It was then carried by mules and I wasn't very happy about it. Talking about the trek trail, it was a beautiful trail with 360-degree snow-clad mountain views and lush green meadows (I visited in November and it hadn't started snowing yet). Its a short, 6-day trek starting from Auli. I was able to bring back some memorable pictures from this trip!
